News from around the city: When predictions come out this weekend, 16 AA will be the most vulnerable. If any one of those teams in that district get a key player it can dramatically change the landscape. No major team, will be ("can go anyway") between Mitchell, Oakhaven and Sheffield.  District 15-AAA will be the toughest to nail down with the resurgence of Wooddale's extremely talented  senior laden guard tandem of smooth scorer Alvin Thomas and floor leader Kelvin Lester. I still favor Ridgeway in that district but Overton will make a run as Kirby betters the most of all teams. White Station will be White Station, can they be the White Station of the past, not now.                                                                9 -13 -06

News from around the city: When I do rankings I concentrate on local kids I could give a flying #$%@ on the kids out east, not knocking them but I don't try to rank them, I don't see them play but maybe once so why try to precisely rank them. The other recruiting services in the state might not watch them play never and still rank the players on someone else's word, sounds like hear say to me. I'm not from here but this state is so racially divided it is just crazy, East vs. West. Perfect example look at the Ford / Corker race. Hats off to Mayor Wille Herenton & Al Wharton for supporting Steve Cohen, it was the right decision. Then you get some preachers, Men of God stirring up some bullshit with supporting Jake Ford because he is black and Cohen is white and they claim the reason is for the district which is mostly black. If that doesn't sound crazy as hell. Myself I am going to vote for Harold Ford Jr. in the Senate race but that doesn't mean I will vote for Jake, Cohen definitely.    9 -10 -06

News from around the city: Craigmont of District 14 AAA will make serious noise this year and also a major run toward state championship status.
