Under
Armour Association is "no bars hold
or simply say, not holding nothing back in
retrospective", in their grassroots efforts to
capture the whole country like no other on a
meteoric rise to success ten fold!!! They didn't
pick Stephen Curry not knowing the business on
that young man whose father Dell Curry shot
Memphis St.(called then) out when they were No.
1 in AP Poll for 2 hours in the 84-85 season. In
just over a short four years
Under Armour Association
newly formed Basketball League consisting of top
high school talent on teams from all over the
country in conjunction with great coaching
across the board correspondingly is definitely
top notch. "Reps Are Earned" & "We Got Next" is
for real compadres!! One of the first 17 Under
Armour basketball flagship programs under the
Under Armour grassroots program respectively on
national levels. Coached by fourth year coach Norton
Hurd who
as compiled an 159-28 record in a short span of
4 years and presently 11-4. Team
Thad will
be one of the top Under Armour teams under the Under
Armour brand.
Coming off an very strong 44-10 (2014) campaign
that included championships in 2 national
marquee tournaments in July alone from Atlanta
to Panama City, Florida. The roster consist of 4
kids ranked in the Top 150 of all national
polls. Assistant coaches
Chris Chiozza &
Michael Hale are on staff
and will help tremendously with their experience
and high basketball IQ. knowledge of the game.
LaGerald Vick Douglass
High School, (Kansas
commit)
LaGerald Vick gets co-sign from NBA player
Junior
Jaylen Fisher (6'2
- 185 lbs. Bolton, espn
#32 & Future
150 #11)
had an very impressive high school basketball
season at
Bolton (21-9)
which has a rich basketball history and
tradition at the school with 6 TSSAA State
Titles in the books respectively.
Fisher
with offers from
Memphis,
Baylor,
UCONN,
Florida, &
Tennessee
to name a few and will solidify as the season
progresses. Last time
Bolton
had a winning record of that magnitude was
in 1986 when
Sylvester Gray
(Miami Heat)was
at the school and 2 consecutive
TSSAA State Championships
were recorded in the books, talk about coming in
cycles.
Fisher
had great showings at all major camps
at the point guard spot
with his high motor, strong build and long reach. In
open court play,
Fisher's
highly regarded speed up and down on both sides of the
basketball
that can take anyone in the country to the rim that
also translates into solid drives to the goal
where he can finish on both sides of the goal in
strong fashion. When defenses collapse, his
high motor and torrid passes turn into assists
from all over the court in multiple forms from
dunks and long range shots that can change the
landscape of basketball games immediately.
His outside game has improved ten fold
especially from beyond the arc.
On a mission
from jump,
LaGerald Vick (6'5
- 185 lbs. Douglass, Kansas
commit) who was
one of the top scorers in the state and city
overall will make a lot of noise on the summer
circuit.
Vick's
beautiful rotation and high elevation on his
jump shot is one of the best Hoopers staff has
seen, that includes a stop on the dime effect.
His freakish athletic drives to the goal will
give opponents difficulty to defend all game
long ten fold.
With
LaGerald
Vick playing
his best basketball yet in his early career
for Team Thad or
at historic Douglass High School in Shelby
County Schools
hands down. and showed why he is at Kansas
ten fold.
Vick
averaged
over 27 points a game and
7 rebounds in New York Session 3. Stats for Vick
at all three sessions he finished fifth in
overall
scoring right at 18 points a game accordingly.
Nick Marshall (7'0
- 225 lbs., Memphis
commit
) with all that size possesses one of the
softest touches on a jump shot which he can hit
from mid range in consistent form.
Marshall
runs the floor as good as any big man in the
country and can finish in strong fashion ten
fold.
UA
We will start with
one of the best shooters not only in the
region but in the nation while playing on the
nationwide summer circuit.
Junior Nate
Hoover (6'4
- 175 lbs. Arlington,
TN. -
Future 150 #)
shoots over 95% from the free throw line and
handles the ball very good and a growth spurt
from this young man that runs in the family, so
you can expect Hoover to be a solid 6'6 or more.
Junior
Micah Thomas (6'7
- 190 lbs. Briarcrest,
TN.
Future 150 #)
which by far is the most athletic player on
Team Thad
with lightning jump on any interior action
around the rim in strong fashion.
Thomas
runs the floor
with gracious speed ending in thunderous dunks
and elevates on his jump shot from mid range to
beyond the arc. While on the other side of the
ball his defense with crucial blocks seem to
show up at the right times accordingly.
Micah Thomas
(Briarcrest)
Mikkel
Norment (6'1
- 160 lbs. Fayette
Ware ,Future
150 #)
has the ability to nail long range shots from
beyond the arc. His quick release makes it hard
for other defenders to contain and will make
noise all season long.
Demonte Person (5'9
- 160 lbs., Arlington -
rivals #)
is a solid point guard who can play both sides
of the basketball in aggressive form.
Person
good ball handling skills, drives to the goal
and inside the mid range paint section shots in
strong fashion while defensive pressure is super
solid as well.
Junior
Dishon Marshall (6'7
- 225 lbs. Atlanta,
GA. Future
150 #) was
a major pickup for Team thad heading into
Session 3 of Under
Armour Association
in
New York City. me has improved ten fold from
last year with his foot work and soft touch from
the paint. Marshall is averaging over 2 blocks a
game and this young man is going to be a major
force in the middle respectively.
Junior
Toriano Stokes
(6'8 - 225
lbs. Westwood Future
150 #) who
played for MemphisHoopers.com the first half of
the summer circuit season will open eyes quickly
in July.
Stokes
presence, shot blocking
skills in the middle and monster dunks will help
bolster Team Thad in rugged July live period
play. His ACT score of 26 to go along with a 3.7
gpa will keep pace accordingly.
Team Thad 17's in
Pittsburgh April 25 - 27, 2014 at Pitt
Jam Fest
Team
Thad schedule
includes participating in the newly
formed Under
Armour Association
Basketball
League
consisting of 28 teams
that are broke down into
two divisions (East & West). The top 8 teams
from each division after playing in 3 different
site sessions playing 4 games at each site
session with all 28 teams playing 12 games
overall on both sides accordingly. Top 8 in each
division qualify and meet in
Atlanta, Georgia on July 15-18, 2015 for
the Under
Armour Finals.
Let's start from the beginning of the season to
present, last week of March they will travel
south to Jackson, MS. for games against MBA and
Ronnie Hood programs. The first week of April
3-5, 2015 they cross the state for the
Knox-Vegas Tournament
and go undefeated with early season wins over
Young Legends and
S.C. Raptors
respectively. UA
Session 1
held in New Orleans,
Louisiana
April 10-12, 2015 they go 3-1, only losing to
eventual overall season leader at 9-3 East
champions
Canada Elite in a
a high scoring affair.
UA Session 2
in Louisville, Kentucky was a rough outing going
2-2
for
Team Thad
especially with star point guard
Jaylen Fisher
down going with a knee injury in the first game
against Earl Watson Elite
but pull out a victory in the game 73-66. Losses
to
Atlanta Express
and Houston Defenders
by double digits in ditto outcomes 75-61 and
harder than score reflects notably without
Fisher.
UA Session 3
in New York City, New York on Memorial Day
weekend was very
important for
Team Thad as qualifying
for the Finals a super must.
The last
month of the volatile summer circuit
season ending in July includes major stops with
the first one in St. Louis at the
Mullens Event
July 10-12, 2015. After going 8-4 in the rugged
Under Armour
Association
Basketball League as mentioned above they
advance to Under
Armour Finals
in Atlanta, Georgia July
15-18, 2015 at Suwanee Sports Academy.
They end their season
with a trip to Las Vegas for the
Fab 48
July 22-26, 2015
and everyone buckle up
and enjoy the ride compadres!!!!!!.
