MEMPHISHOOPERS.COM
2012
MemphisHoopers.com unsigned senior squad has been a very
successful program since 1999 but since 2006 has been
very strong and triumphant at the same time with over 87
young men to go on the next level on many levels
achieved. Presently 20-4 with burly showings from
the offset of the season going 4-1 at Memphis Classic
Tournament back on April 6, 2012 respectively.
Donatavious Sears @ Manassas
Dontavious Sears
(6'5 - 180 lbs.
Manassas,
rivals #) is one of the
best scorers in the city and has recently qualified and
will definitely be a major steal for a Division 1 school
respectively. In St. Louis during April 13, 2012 at the
Midwest Shootout hosted by Terrell Ramey Basketball
where they won their first championship of the season
going 4-0 accordingly with solid wins.
Marvin Smith
(6'5 - 195 lbs.
Ridgeway,
rivals #)
in the Hoopers eyes in the best overall player out of
Class 2012 not to be signed to this date with every
major juco in the country with a offer on deck but is a
for sure Division A player. His extra strong play in the
paint to go along with good mid range shooting a plus.
You will hear about this kid all summer circuit season
long.
Greg Pryor
(6'2 - 185 lbs.,
rivals #
Ridgeway)
came to the Hoopers program in late May and Hoopers
staff wished he came a lot earlier respectively. This
kid has played the entire game at stretches at the 1
guard spot and has handled it with solid confidence and
showcasing his talents respectively with big wins over
Atlanta Celtics, Team Breakdown to name a few. This kid
you will definitely hear about the remainder of the
summer circuit season and next season during high school
basketball season.
At the shooting guard position it is very solid with the
addition of
Montrez Gary
(6'1 - 175 lbs.
Westwood,
rivals #)
who can play the 1 or 2 in strong fashion but is a flat
foot sharp shooter and one of the best in the city. His
brother
Terrance Gary
(5'10 - 170 lbs.
Westwood,
rivals #)
will contribute all season accordingly with his overall
play. Eddie Middlebrooks
(6'3 - 190 lbs.
Brighton, rivals #)
strong overall play from the outside and this young man
will go down low and battle with the best
wholeheartedly.
Another teammate is
Anthony Cole
(6'3 - 185 lbs.,
Arlington
rivals #) who will play at
the guard spot and is one of the better mid range shooters
in the city and handles the ball extremely well and
slashes to the goal in strong fashion.
MemphisHoopers.com
like all other summers will go test the waters with
these young men in the best tournaments available. The
Memphis Classic April 6-8 where they went 4-1
respectively and losing to Arkansas Hawks by 2 points in
overtime. Next on tap is The
Midwest Shootout
in St. Louis, Missouri April 13-15
where they captured the first championship of the early
summer circuit season. Another marquee tournaments will be
the
Real Deal on the Rock
in Little Rock April 27-29. AAU Sub State and AAU State
will proceed in May but the Hoopers will not participate
due to seniors on the roster and definitely Division 1
off the wham but just overlooked in the early part of
the summer circuit season. July is no exception with major
events all the way across the board with The Adidas
Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana July 11-15 and
with the
Metro Sports Classic in Kansas City, Missouri July
18-22 and Adidas Super 64 in Las Vegas from July 25-29
to end an very strong summer schedule.
Jay Witherspoon
(6'5 - 210 lbs.,
Overton
rivals #)
and Jeffrey Dockett
(5'9 - 160 lbs.,
Bartlett
rivals #
) round out an very solid overall ball club that has all
the pieces for winning tournaments all summer
long. Teammates will have to step up and
crash the boards with tenacity which will pay off ten
fold. Also control their turnovers accordingly and they
can compete nationally. Will the
supporting cast step up and play within their parameters
and make smart decisions and limit their mistakes where
that will be crucial department all season long.
