A
mismatch from tip off the Chiefs came to North Memphis
and represented as the best team on the north section of
town. With a first quarter score of 30-10
Craigmont
was in stride all night long as their marquee press gave
Manassas the blues all night long as
Manassas
coaching tried all the guards in the arsenal to alter
the outcome to no avail.
Craigmont
has a very deep team that goes 12 deep and these kids
know how to use the press under Coach Taylor's watch. At
the end of the first half
Craigmont
went into the locker room with a commanding 53-23
advantage.
First half statistics included
maybe a record for real as for turnovers with
Manassas
committing 15 first half turnovers to the Chiefs only
one for accord.
Manassas
actually rebounded pretty good falling 16-15 in that
department. The Chiefs distributed the ball well with a
11-5 ratio. Steals were in
Craigmont
favor at 6-1 in the category and blocks were actually
led by
Manassas
at 3-2 clip.
Second half was no different as Craigmont kept the
pressure on the stunned Tigers watching effortlessly as
junior
Robert Houston
hit a season high 28 points to go along with 4 rebounds
on 8-14 shooting and all were shots longer than 15 feet
respectively. No else was in double figures for the game
but two players were at 9 apiece in senior
Kymer Levy
and
Calvin Chambers
who also added 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in a
solid performance.

finished with a team high 18 points displaying his nice
outside shot.
Key Points of The Game:
Craigmont
platoon of guards that are all basketball knowledgeable
and the main difference from all other teams is their
solid and creative presses. Will the press falter or
succeed in postseason advancement?
