Battle on the Bluff Tournament Breakdown:
The
2008 Battle on the Bluff in it's 3rd year has become one
of the top July tournaments on the summer circuit. This
year was no different with top college programs once
again in attendance and overflow crowds during the
entire tournament to watch the much anticipated match
ups. Talent level was high with several players ranked
in the Top 100 from a total of 15 players. Those players
included
Joe Jackson
(2009),
Laquinton Ross
(2011),
Reginald Buckner
(2008),
Jon Hood
(2008),
Casey Prather
(2010) to name a few and they proved why they are ranked
in the Top 100 Rivals. . op

NCAA Certified Sanctioned Tournament Preview:
Top
college programs from all over the country,
"as viewed below",
were present at the Battle on the Bluff 2007 at the
Bluff City, Memphis. Only in it's second year of
existence, this summer circuit tournament has propelled
to the top of the charts as one of the top tournaments
in the country. The level of talent from the Teams
committed is Nike Peach Jam caliber hands down.
This year is no difference with numerous highly ranked
TOP 100 players from all the classes and country
converge on Memphis, Tn. Starting with Reginald Buckner
of Memphishoopers.com, DeMarcus Cousins of Birmingham
Storm, Casey Prather of Nashville Celtics, John Jenkins
(Tennessee YOMCA Tigers, Top 3 sophomore in LaQuintin Ross of MBA and top
15 in Joe Jackson of Memphis Pacers to name a few.
Tournament Director Leshone Bynum has transformed this
tournament in it's third year with sites around
beautiful Memphis consisting venues of: University of
Memphis, Christian Brothers University, and Rhodes
